A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Watford is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and helping them thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
The Role:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a range of SEN needs
- Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of differentiated learning activities
- Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and emotional wellbeing
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Adapting resources and strategies to meet individual pupil needs
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience supporting children with SEN (school, care, youth work or similar settings)
- A patient, empathetic and proactive approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and pupils
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
