This specialist setting caters for pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated communication difficulties.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate practitioner who understands the importance of building positive relationships and creating engaging learning opportunities that meet the individual needs of all learners. The role will involve planning and delivering differentiated lessons, monitoring pupil progress and working closely with support staff, families and external professionals to provide the best possible educational experience.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience working within a SEND or specialist setting
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Be confident adapting learning to meet a range of needs and abilities
  • Have a good understanding of Autism, SEMH and communication difficulties
  • Be able to lead and support teaching assistants effectively
  • Have a commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
