A specialist setting in Wallsend is looking for a dedicated Autism Support Assistant to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated learning needs.


You'll help create structure, consistency and positive learning experiences that allow pupils to develop communication skills, confidence and independence.


Location: Wallsend
Pay: £92.63 - £102 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term


Your responsibilities will include:



  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support

  • Supporting communication and social interaction

  • Helping pupils access lessons

  • Promoting independence and confidence

  • Supporting emotional regulation

  • Building positive relationships with pupils


The ideal candidate will be:

Experience from the following backgrounds is welcomed:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
