We're looking for caring, adaptable SEND Teachers to work in specialist schools and alternative provisions across Wakefield. You'll support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them grow in confidence as well as in the classroom. What you'll be doing

• Plan and deliver lessons that meet individual learning needs
• Adapt teaching for pupils with ASD, SEMH, PMLD and other complex needs
• Build positive relationships where trust comes first
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists and wider school teams
• Create calm, structured classrooms where pupils can thrive
• Support both academic progress and emotional wellbeing

What you'll need

• QTS, QTLS or strong SEND teaching experience
• Experience in SEND, SEMH, SEN or specialist education is desirable
• Confidence adapting lessons to suit a range of needs
• A calm, compassionate and flexible approach
