We’re working with a welcoming school who are looking for a School First Aider to take ownership of the first aid room and provide immediate, effective care to students and staff throughout the school day. This is a full‑time position and an important role within the wider pastoral and safeguarding team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Running and managing the school’s first aid room
  • Responding promptly to first aid incidents and medical emergencies
  • Providing care, reassurance, and clear next steps for students
  • Keeping accurate records of first aid treatment and incidents
  • Liaising with parents, staff, and external services when required
  • Supporting the school’s health, safety, and wellbeing procedures

  • A current First Aid qualification (essential)
  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school setting

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date. Protocol Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’, this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
