The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading lessons in the absence of the class teacher. You will not be required to teach new material. Instead, you will deliver pre-planned work, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students remain engaged and focused throughout the lesson.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising classes across a range of subjects
- Delivering pre-set work provided by teaching staff
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively
- Supporting students to remain engaged and on task
- Building positive and professional relationships with pupils and staff
- Adapting confidently to different school environments

Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking individuals who are:
- Interested in pursuing a career in education
- Confident communicators with strong interpersonal skills
- Professional, reliable, and adaptable
- Comfortable working with young people aged 11 to 16
- Positive role models who can engage and motivate students
Previous experience working with young people, whether through tutoring, coaching, mentoring, youth work, drama, or volunteering, is advantageous but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
