Do you enjoy helping children build confidence, overcome challenges, and achieve their potential? Protocol Education is recruiting a full-time Teaching Assistant to support across a KS2 classroom in Gateshead, with a focus on interventions and small group work.
About the role:
- You’ll work closely with the class teacher to deliver targeted support, helping pupils who may need extra guidance.
- Your day‑to‑day will include:
- Running small group interventions in reading and maths
- Supporting pupils who need additional help to stay on track
- Reinforcing learning during whole‑class lessons
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
- Helping pupils develop confidence and independence
What we’re looking for:
- A confident and supportive individual

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm Full‑time
Pay and other benefits: All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
