We’re working with a thriving Ofsted-rated “Good” secondary school with a fantastic Sixth Form, where English is a strong, well-resourced department with excellent results at GCSE and A-Level.
Responsibilities
- Teaching English Language and Literature across KS3–KS5
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons that spark curiosity and creativity
- Supporting students in exam preparation, coursework, and wider literacy skills
- Contributing to curriculum planning, assessment, and departmental development
- Playing an active role in enrichment activities (debating, creative writing clubs, theatre trips)
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) with a degree in English or a related subject
- Experience teaching English at GCSE essential; A-Level desirable
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for literature and language
- A reflective practitioner who is adaptable, supportive, and committed to student success
