Sports Graduates and Professionals Wanted
If you've studied a sport-related subject, or are experienced in coaching/sports teaching/playing, and you're wondering where your skills could take you next, this could be the perfect match.
We're looking for energetic, resilient, and compassionate sports specialists to support children and young people across Wiltshire. Whether you're considering a future in teaching, educational psychology, youth work, therapy, coaching, or simply want to make a real difference while gaining valuable experience, we'd love to hear from you.
You might not realise it, but people from sporting backgrounds often thrive in education. Because schools need more than academic support. They need positive role models, team players, motivators, and people who understand resilience, confidence, communication, and the power of encouragement.
Your skills in building relationships, adapting your approach, staying calm under pressure, and bringing out the best in others are core transferable skills that can have a huge impact on children who need extra support to engage with learning, regulate their emotions, or build their self-belief.
Whether you're helping a pupil work through a challenging moment, encouraging participation in the classroom, or using your coaching experience to inspire confidence, you'll be making a difference every single day.
There are various roles you can move into from Teaching Assistant, Support Workers, Cover Supervisors, Behaviour Support.

- Acting as a positive role model and mentor for young people
- Working closely with teachers and support staff to create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Sport Science, Physical Education, Sports Coaching, Sports Development, Exercise & Health, Sports Psychology, or a related subject OR experience coaching, mentoring, leading sports activities, or working with young people
- A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
- A calm, adaptable approach when situations change
- A genuine passion for supporting children and helping them succeed
Why Sport and Education Are a Great Match

- Leadership and teamwork
- Motivation and goal setting
- Communication and relationship building
- Resilience and emotional regulation
- Mentoring and coaching
- Encouraging others to achieve their potential
If you've spent time coaching a team, supporting teammates, or helping others improve, you've already developed skills that schools need.
