Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs? Do you want a rewarding role where every day makes a difference? We are seeking caring, dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join a specialist educational setting as a full-time Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils with moderate learning difficulties and complex needs, helping them to access education, develop independence and achieve their full potential. No two days are the same, and you'll play a vital role in creating a positive, safe and engaging learning environment for all pupils.

Your Daily Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Welcoming pupils on arrival and supporting them as they start their school day
  • Assisting pupils as they settle into their classroom and daily routines
  • Supporting teachers to ensure all pupils can access learning activities and the curriculum
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support where required
  • Supporting pupils with movement and handling needs where necessary
  • Assisting with personal care and medical needs when required (full training provided)
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour
  • Supervising pupils during breaktimes and lunchtimes
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff to meet pupils' individual needs
  • Supporting pupils at the end of the school day and ensuring safe departure arrangements

  • A caring, patient and nurturing approach
  • Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals is desirable but not essential
  • A willingness to support pupils with additional learning, physical, medical or personal care needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
