Schools across Wiltshire are increasingly looking for confident and adaptable Classroom Supervisors to help keep lessons running smoothly when teachers are absent. What you’ll be doing:
- Supervising classes when the teacher is away and guiding students through pre-prepared work
- Keeping lessons calm, focused and purposeful so learning continues without disruption
- Supporting a range of subjects and year groups, mainly KS3 and KS4
- Taking registers, explaining tasks clearly and helping students stay on track
- Pitching in with wider school duties when cover isn’t needed, such as small-group support, break duties or admin tasks
- Following behaviour, safeguarding and wellbeing policies and being a reassuring, positive presence for students
