About the Role
Protocol Education are working a forward-thinking specialist setting in Swindon and are looking for a caring and confident Autism Support Worker. You’ll work closely with teachers to deliver a personalised, autism friendly curriculum that supports both academic learning and essential life skills. Every pupil has an EHCP, and you’ll play a key role in helping them thrive in the classroom, at home, and in the wider community. What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting learners with autism to develop communication, social and life skills
- Using structured approaches such as TEACCH and personalised anxiety management strategies - Training on these can be provided
- Promoting inclusion and engagement across lessons and activities
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families
- Encouraging progress and confidence through empathy, patience, and positivity
