The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will work with students who have a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties. You will deliver engaging, personalised lessons that cater to individual learning styles while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Support pupils in achieving their educational and personal development goals.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies where necessary.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, families, and external agencies.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience teaching students with Special Educational Needs is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and best practices.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A patient, resilient, and compassionate approach to education.
