The Role
As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers and SEN staff to support pupils who may need additional guidance with learning or social development. Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups
- Assisting children with SEND such as autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs
- Helping teachers deliver engaging classroom activities
- Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour
- Creating a positive and supportive learning environment
This role provides excellent experience for graduates considering careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, or Teaching.
Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who is:
- A Psychology graduate or holds a related degree
- Passionate about child development and education
- Calm, patient, and supportive in their approach
- Interested in gaining experience in school settings
- Previous experience with children (tutoring, mentoring, coaching, care work, or volunteering) is desirable but not essential
