Overview

Support Worker – Special Education Provision

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs? We’re seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join a special education setting that supports children and young people aged 3 to 16 with a range of social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils access learning and develop vital life skills
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and therapy teams to implement personalised support plans
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child is valued
  • Support pupils to build confidence, independence, and social skills
  • Contribute to maintaining positive behaviour and wellbeing across the provision

Qualifications

  • Someone patient, understanding, and calm under pressure
  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is desirable but not essential
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • A proactive team player who is flexible and reliable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
