Overview
Support Worker – Special Education Provision
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs? We’re seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join a special education setting that supports children and young people aged 3 to 16 with a range of social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils access learning and develop vital life skills
- Work collaboratively with teaching and therapy teams to implement personalised support plans
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child is valued
- Support pupils to build confidence, independence, and social skills
- Contribute to maintaining positive behaviour and wellbeing across the provision
Qualifications
- Someone patient, understanding, and calm under pressure
- Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is desirable but not essential
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- A proactive team player who is flexible and reliable
- Commitment to helping young people achieve their potential
