A specialist SEND school is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
Important: All successful applicants will be required to attend a school‑based interview and trial day before the summer holidays to secure their September placement.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting learning and development
- Assisting with personal care
- Supporting sensory and communication activities
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team
Hours:
- Monday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
- Tuesday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
- Wednesday: 8:30am – 3:45pm
- Thursday: 8:30am – 4:15pm
- Friday: 8:30am – 3:15pm
Essential Requirements:
- Compassionate and patient approach
- Full‑time applicants only
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply and pay for one
- Ability to provide two recent professional references
- Right to work in the UK
All applicants will be subject to safeguarding and vetting checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
