Protocol Education is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist SEND resource base attached to a mainstream primary school. The provision supports pupils with Autism, speech and language difficulties, and additional learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils to access learning activities
- Delivering speech and language interventions
- Supporting communication development
- Promoting positive social interactions
- Assisting with EHCP targets
- Liaising effectively with teachers and parents
Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
Friday: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Essential Criteria:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
- Previous SEND experience preferred
- Full-time applicants only
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply and pay for one
- Two professional references required
