Looking for a rewarding role where every day matters? We’re seeking a passionate HLTA to lead a primary classroom in a welcoming PRU in South Shields. This is a full‑time role, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm. You’ll play a key role in delivering learning, supporting emotional development, and helping pupils succeed both academically and personally.
Responsibilities
- Leading whole‑class teaching and intervention sessions
- Supporting pupils with additional behavioural and emotional needs
- Delivering differentiated learning activities
- Encouraging engagement, confidence, and resilience
- Building strong relationships with pupils and staff
- Supporting progress tracking and classroom routines
Qualifications
- Has experience leading groups or classes
- Understands SEMH and trauma‑informed practice
- Has excellent communication skills
- Can motivate and inspire reluctant learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
