A supportive alternative provision is looking to appoint a Behaviour Mentor to work closely with secondary-aged pupils who have experienced barriers to learning and may display challenging behaviours.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis throughout the school day
  • Helping students develop positive coping strategies
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing and resilience
  • Encouraging participation within lessons
  • Working alongside safeguarding and pastoral teams
  • Promoting positive behaviour and attendance

Working Pattern:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
  • Friday: 8:30am – 3:30pm

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience within education, youth work, mentoring, sports coaching, or care
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • Full-time availability
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date. Protocol Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer free online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training to all our workers. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
