We're working with a specialist alternative provision in South Shields that is seeking Student Engagement Mentors to support pupils with SEMH needs. This setting operates across two sites and provides a nurturing environment where young people can rebuild confidence, develop resilience and re‑engage with education. We're looking for proactive and positive individuals who can motivate and inspire young people to succeed.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting pupils who may be disengaged from education
- Building positive relationships and acting as a role model
- Delivering 1:1 and small group mentoring sessions
- Supporting behaviour management strategies
- Encouraging participation in learning and enrichment activities
- Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff
What we're looking for:
