Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a supportive primary school?

Protocol Education are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Stanmore. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the school's SEN team to provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs. You may be supporting children on a 1:1 basis or within small groups, helping them access the curriculum and develop academically, socially and emotionally.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN
  • Supporting children with their learning and classroom activities
  • Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills
  • Implementing individual support strategies and learning plans
  • Supporting pupils with their emotional and behavioural needs
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff
  • Creating a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitoring pupils' progress and providing feedback to teaching staff

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about working with children and supporting their development
  • Patient, empathetic and nurturing
  • Confident working with children with additional needs
  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils
  • Reliable, proactive and adaptablel>li>
  • A strong communicator and team player
  • Previous experience working with SEN is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
