Job Title: Primary SEN Teaching Assistant

We’re looking for compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistants to join primary schools across Bradford. Whether you’ve worked in classrooms before or supported children with additional needs in your personal life, your experience is valued here.

Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 or small group support for primary-aged pupils with special educational needs (autism, ADHD, SEMH, and more)
  • Helping children access lessons, routines, and playtimes in a positive way
  • Building strong, trusting relationships to create safe and supportive learning spaces
  • Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and parents to put strategies into practice

  • Experience supporting children with SEND (professional or personal)
  • A calm, patient approach and plenty of resilience
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Confidence to adapt and support across different age groups in primary
