Protocol Education is seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Southend-on-Sea. This rewarding opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing educational environment.
The Role
As an SEN LSA, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN needs.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
- Support children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and other additional learning requirements.
- Implement EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN within a primary school setting.
- A patient, caring, and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- The ability to adapt learning strategies to meet individual needs.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or SEN support (desirable).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
