We're recruiting Behaviour Mentors to work in specialist SEMH schools across South Shields from September.
Working alongside experienced teaching and pastoral teams, you'll support pupils who may have experienced trauma, adverse childhood experiences or barriers to education. Your role will focus on helping young people develop confidence, resilience and positive coping strategies in a structured and nurturing environment.

- Monday-Friday
- 8:30am-4:00pm or 8:30am-4:30pm
- Term-time only
Your day will include
- Delivering 1:1 mentoring sessions
- Supporting emotional wellbeing
- Encouraging positive behaviour
- Supporting pupils during lessons and social times
- Building strong professional relationships
- Working closely with pastoral teams

- A calm and empathetic approach
- Strong communication skills
- Passion for SEMH and inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
