Protocol Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in South Shields seeking a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. The successful candidate will support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, working alongside class teachers to deliver engaging learning experiences and provide targeted intervention support.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils across the primary curriculum
  • Delivering small group intervention sessions
  • Supporting children with additional learning needs
  • Assisting with phonics, literacy and numeracy activities
  • Monitoring and recording pupil progress
  • Supporting classroom preparation and organisation

Working Hours:

  • Monday: 8:30am – 3:45pm
  • Tuesday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
  • Wednesday: 8:30am – 3:45pm
  • Thursday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
  • Friday: 8:30am – 3:15pm

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification
  • Previous school-based experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Full-time applicants only
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply and pay for one
