A nurturing alternative provision in South Shields is looking for a Learning Mentor who can help pupils re-engage with education and develop confidence in a small, supportive environment. You’ll be the steady adult pupils can rely on throughout the day.
Your role will include:
- 1:1 and small-group mentoring
- Helping pupils develop social skills, confidence and self-regulation
- Supporting behaviour plans and wellbeing strategies
- Working closely with staff to personalise learning for each pupil
You’ll bring:
- Experience in SEMH, behaviour, youth work or mentoring
- A positive, empathetic approach
- Strong relationship-building skills and patience
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
