We're working with a specialist SEMH provision in South Shields that is looking to appoint Inclusion Support Assistants for the upcoming academic year. Operating across two sites, the provision supports pupils who require additional behavioural, emotional and educational support. Staff are committed to helping every pupil feel valued, understood and capable of success.
We're looking for caring and motivated individuals who are passionate about making a difference.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs throughout the school day
- Providing targeted intervention and mentoring support
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Supporting pupils during transitions and unstructured times
- Working alongside teachers and pastoral teams
- Monitoring and reporting on pupil progress
What we're looking for:
- Experience working with children or young people
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A patient and adaptable approach
- The ability to remain calm under pressure
- A genuine passion for inclusion and pupil wellbeing
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
