What the role looks like day to day:
- Supporting pupils with SEND, either 1:1 or in small groups
- Helping children with needs such as autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language, or learning difficulties
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow individual support plans
- Creating a calm, consistent environment where pupils feel understood
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
- Being that steady, reassuring adult when emotions run high
