Some children need an extra pair of hands. Others just need someone in their corner. That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for warm, reliable Support Assistants to work in primary schools, helping children feel settled, supported and confident in the classroom. No two days are ever the same; one minute you could be helping with phonics, the next you’re calming first-day nerves or celebrating a child finally cracking their times tables.

What the role looks like:
  • Supporting children in class, one-to-one and in small groups
  • Helping pupils stay engaged and enjoy learning
  • Working closely with the class teacher throughout the day
  • Encouraging confidence, independence and positive behaviour
  • Supporting children with additional needs where needed
  • Being a calm, friendly face pupils can rely on
We’re looking for someone who is:
  • Caring, patient and easy to talk to
  • Positive and happy to get stuck in
  • A team player with a good sense of humour
  • Interested in education or child development
  • Experienced with children in any setting, school, coaching, care or youth work is a bonus, but not essential
Why join Protocol Education?
  • Flexible work that fits around your life
  • Friendly schools where you’ll feel welcomed
  • Ongoing training and support
  • A consultant who actually checks in and gets to know you
  • Free CPD and Thrive training to help build your confidence and skills
