We are currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to start ASAP at a welcoming school in Ickenham. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them thrive in a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
- Support children with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
- Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Support pupils with personal care where required
- Create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment
Requirements
- Experience working with children with SEND (school or care setting)
- Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
