Looking for a role where you can support pupils who need a bit of extra help to thrive in the classroom? We’re working with a friendly mainstream school in Sutton that’s looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, Autism and SEMH. You’ll be part of a supportive team and play a key role in helping children feel settled, confident, and ready to learn.

This role could be a great fit if you:

  • Have experience supporting children with SEND in a school or similar setting
  • Or you’re a graduate in English, Maths or Science keen to start a career in education or SEND
  • Are patient, calm, and confident supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Enjoy building strong relationships with pupils and staff

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups within a mainstream classroom
  • Helping children stay engaged and access the curriculum
  • Supporting social skills, routines, and emotional wellbeing
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

What you’ll need:

  • A DBS on the Update Service, or be happy to apply for one
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine interest in SEND
  • Reliability, consistency, and a caring approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
