Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant – Every Pupil, Every Possibility

We’re working with a specialist setting in South Tyneside that provides education for pupils aged 3 to 16 with a wide range of additional needs. From speech and language support to complex SEMH needs, this school creates personalised learning journeys that meet every child exactly where they are.
It’s a vibrant, supportive environment where the emphasis is on helping pupils thrive-academically, socially, and emotionally. Staff work in close partnership with therapists, families, and each other to build consistency, trust, and progress that lasts.
What you’ll be doing:

Supporting pupils with diverse learning, behavioural, and communication needs

Helping to create safe, engaging, and structured classroom spaces

Working 1:1 and in small groups to build confidence, independence, and social skills

Contributing to a whole-school ethos built on patience, high expectations, and genuine care
