Are you a passionate and resilient individual ready to make a lasting impact in the lives of children with complex special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and inclusive school community. This full-time role involves working closely with pupils who have a range of complex needs, including autism, communication difficulties, sensory processing disorders, and physical or medical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to individual pupils or small groups with complex SEN
- Implement EHCP targets and adapt activities to meet diverse learning needs
- Support with personal care, feeding, and mobility where necessary
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children with complex SEN (essential)
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour and learning
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility, initiative, and a positive attitude
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Team Teach, or similar) are desirable
