We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Support Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils with additional needs and help them thrive both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND.
- Assist students with their academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored learning support.
- Support pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children with SEND in a school, care, or support setting is desirable.
- A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Must hold a valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
