SEND Learning Support Assistant – Forest Hall (Full-Time)

Protocol Education is recruiting a full-time SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist educational setting in

Forest Hall .

This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties and communication needs.

You'll work closely with teachers and specialist staff to help learners access education, develop independence and feel proud of their progress.

No two days will look exactly the same, but your role will always centre around building trust, recognising individual strengths and helping pupils take positive steps forward.

  • Providing tailored 1:1 support during lessons and activities
  • Supporting small-group learning and targeted interventions
  • Adapting resources to meet individual learning needs
  • Encouraging communication, confidence and independence
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and specialist staff
  • Recognising and celebrating progress, however small

Previous experience in SEND, education, care, youth work or support work is beneficial, but a positive attitude and genuine interest in helping young people are just as important.
