We’re looking for an SEN‑experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Downend. This role is Monday to Friday, from 8.30am to 12.30pm. This morning‑only role involves working closely with pupils who require additional support, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

The role:

  • Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs in the classroom
  • Providing one‑to‑one and small group support
  • Helping pupils stay engaged with learning and classroom routines
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN
  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service
  • Ability to provide references covering the last two years
