Job Duties:

  • Assist in the educational and social development of students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Support the classroom teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet individual needs
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to SEN students in various subjects
  • Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Relevant SEN qualification or experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Education:

GCSEs in English and Maths

Experience:

Prior experience working with SEN students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN support strategies
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual needs
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Empathy and patience when working with students with SEN

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher-level teaching assistant qualification
  • First aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position, 5 days a week
