The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

No two days are the same as an SEN Teaching Assistant. You may find yourself:

  • Supporting a pupil with autism to engage successfully in classroom activities.
  • Helping students develop communication, social, and emotional skills.
  • Delivering targeted intervention sessions under the guidance of teaching staff.
  • Using visual aids, sensory resources, and structured routines to support learning.
  • Encouraging independence and celebrating individual achievements.
  • Assisting pupils during lessons, breaktimes, and transitions throughout the school day.
  • Helping create a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment.

About the School

Our partner school caters for pupils aged 3-11 with a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication and interaction difficulties, and moderate learning needs. The school is based in Downend. The school prides itself on its child‑centred approach, recognising that every learner is unique. What We're Looking For

  • The ability to build trust and positive relationships with pupils.
  • Experience in education, childcare, care work, support work, youth services, or similar fields (desirable but not essential).
  • A willingness to learn and develop within a specialist educational environment.
