Are you a patient, nurturing, and resilient individual passionate about supporting children with additional needs? A warm and inclusive primary school in East London (E1 3BW) is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to helping children overcome barriers to learning and thrive in a supportive, structured environment.
The Role:
- Provide tailored support for pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language, and emotional/behavioural needs
- Work 1:1 and in small groups to aid academic, social, and emotional development
- Support the class teacher in delivering an inclusive learning experience
- Implement EHCP strategies and work closely with SENCO and external agencies
- Monitor progress and contribute to regular reviews and assessments
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting
- Calm, empathetic, and adaptable with a positive attitude
- Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child development
- A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
