Protocol Education is recruiting SEN Learning Support Assistants to work in inclusive mainstream primary schools, supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs. You'll play a key role in helping children build confidence, engage with learning, and achieve their individual goals in a supportive classroom environment.

We have a variety of full-time, part-time, long-term and daily supply opportunities available to suit your availability.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Helping children access the curriculum through tailored learning strategies
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Building trusting relationships that promote confidence and independence
  • Supporting pupils with personal, social and emotional development

You'll be supporting children with a range of needs, including:

  • Autism (ASC)
  • ADHD
  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Learning difficulties and developmental delays

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, either in schools or through care, childcare, youth work or similar settings
  • A patient, resilient and compassionate approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • A genuine commitment to inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
