SEMH Teaching Assistant – Primary School Focus

We’re seeking a resilient, nurturing SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team at a well-respected school supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Key responsibilities:

• Support individual pupils with complex emotional needs

• Use de-escalation and restorative approaches

• Build strong, trusting relationships and offer consistent care

You’ll need:

• Experience working with challenging behaviour or vulnerable groups

• Calm, confident demeanour and a strong sense of empathy

• Team Teach or similar training (desirable but not essential)

This is a highly rewarding role with scope for progression into mentoring or pastoral positions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
