A specialist provision in North Somerset is seeking a qualified Maths and Science Teacher to support learners who cannot access mainstream education. With a focus on SEMH, medical needs, and behaviour support, this setting offers a fresh chance for students—and a career with real meaning for the right teacher.
The Role:

Full-time teaching of Maths and Science across KS3 and KS4

Delivery of GCSEs and other accredited outcomes to small groups and individuals

Pastoral and academic support as a key tutor for a small student cohort

Teaching across two specialist sites, including a medical tuition centre and a PRU

Working within a multidisciplinary team, including external agencies and families
The Ideal Candidate:

Holds QTS and a relevant subject degree

Brings strong classroom practice and calm, consistent behaviour strategies

Has experience in alternative provision, PRU or SEMH settings (or the desire to step into one)

Understands trauma-informed approaches and SEND strategies
