A specialist provision in North Somerset is seeking a qualified Maths and Science Teacher to support learners who cannot access mainstream education. With a focus on SEMH, medical needs, and behaviour support, this setting offers a fresh chance for students—and a career with real meaning for the right teacher.

The Role:

  • Full-time teaching of Maths and Science across KS3 and KS4

  • Delivery of GCSEs and other accredited outcomes to small groups and individuals

  • Pastoral and academic support as a key tutor for a small student cohort

  • Teaching across two specialist sites, including a medical tuition centre and a PRU

  • Working within a multidisciplinary team, including external agencies and families

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS and a relevant subject degree

  • Brings strong classroom practice and calm, consistent behaviour strategies

  • Has experience in alternative provision, PRU or SEMH settings (or the desire to step into one)

  • Understands trauma-informed approaches and SEND strategies

  • Believes every young person deserves to succeed—whatever their start

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
