If you’re a subject specialist who enjoys a bit of variety, an experienced teacher thinking about stepping back into the classroom, or simply after a better work-life balance, supply teaching could be just what your week’s been missing. We’re working with a well-established and genuinely inclusive secondary school in Ealing, Harrow, Hounslow, Brent and Barnet. It’s the kind of place where there’s a real community feel, staff know their students properly, and high expectations come from a genuine belief that every young person can succeed.

The curriculum is broad and well-rounded across Key Stages 3 and 4, with strong foundations in English, Maths, Science and PE. There’s plenty of choice too, with a wide range of options and a real emphasis on languages. Students begin French in Year 7, with German and Spanish introduced from Year 8, giving them the chance to explore beyond the basics early on. And it doesn’t stop at the classroom. Drama, music and sport are all thriving here, with regular trips that bring learning to life. Enrichment isn’t an add-on, it’s part of everyday school life, and you can see it in how students get involved.

Pastoral care is a real strength. A dedicated team works closely with teaching staff and the SEN department to make sure every student feels supported, settled and ready to learn. As part of a wider trust, the school also works closely with local primaries, secondaries and post-16 providers, helping students feel confident about what comes next. Progression into further education after Year 11 is strong.

You bring the subject knowledge and classroom confidence, we’ll take care of everything else. Whether you’re looking for full-time supply, part-time flexibility, or the odd day here and there, we’ll shape something that works for you. Lessons are ready, schools are prepared, and we’re always on hand when you need us. You can focus on what you do best, teaching and actually enjoying your day.

What we’re looking for:

  • UK QTS and solid secondary experience
  • Strong subject knowledge and a real passion for teaching
  • Calm, confident behaviour management
  • Flexible, level-headed and quick to adapt
  • Someone who wants each day to feel like a good one, for both students and themselves

What you’ll get from us:

  • Competitive weekly PAYE pay, no umbrella hassle
  • Flexible roles that fit around your life
  • Access to a wide range of local secondary schools
  • A consultant who listens, keeps things simple, and genuinely supports you
  • Free access to our CPD Academy to keep your skills fresh

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQs on the Protocol Education website for further details. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position.
