Are you an organised, friendly, and professional administrator looking for your next opportunity in education? A welcoming and community-focused primary school in the West End of Newcastle (NE4) is seeking a Receptionist & Administrator to join their dedicated office team. This is an excellent opportunity to become the first point of contact for pupils, parents, visitors, and staff while playing a key role in the day-to-day running of the school.

Location: West End Newcastle (NE4)

Hours: Ideally 35 hours per week (flexibility available for the right candidate)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Long-term, with the potential to become an indefinite role

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing the school's front reception area
  • Answering and directing incoming telephone calls
  • Welcoming parents, visitors, and external agencies
  • Providing administrative support to the wider office team
  • Responding to day-to-day enquiries in a professional manner
  • Maintaining records and carrying out general office duties
  • Supporting the smooth running of the school office

This role could be perfect if you are:

  • An experienced school administrator or receptionist
  • Someone with previous front-of-house or customer-facing experience
  • Confident communicating with a wide range of people
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks

Previous school experience would be highly desirable, however the school is happy to consider exceptional candidates from other sectors who can demonstrate outstanding administrative and customer service skills.
