We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and help them thrive both academically and personally. The Role
- As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to provide tailored support for pupils with additional needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support.
- Supporting pupils to access the curriculum and engage in learning.
- Building positive relationships and promoting confidence and independence.
- Implementing individual learning and behaviour support strategies.
- Assisting with personal care where required.
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally within education, SEN, care, support work, youth work, or similar settings.
- A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through Protocol Education.
