The Role
As an English Teacher, you will:
- Teach engaging and challenging English lessons across the secondary age range.
- Inspire students to develop a genuine love of reading, writing and literature.
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive and meaningful feedback.
- Contribute to a positive, supportive and ambitious department.
- Encourage students to develop confidence, creativity and strong communication skills.
- Support the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and extracurricular opportunities.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.
- Has a strong knowledge of the English curriculum and GCSE requirements.
- Is an enthusiastic, creative and reflective classroom practitioner.
- Has high expectations of all students and is committed to helping every learner succeed.
- Builds positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- Is organised, resilient and keen to contribute to the wider school community.
