Protocol Education is currently working closely with mainstream primary schools in Richmond who are seeking qualified and experienced SEN Learning Support Assistants to work with them on a long-term basis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils with speech and language difficulties or behavioural issues.
  • Work with pupils using or learning communication strategies such as Makaton and PECS.
  • Support inclusion and assist with learning activities under the supervision of teaching staff.

Qualifications and experience

  • Experience of working with pupils on a 1:1 basis.
  • Knowledge of Makaton, PECS, autism or related behavioural needs is beneficial.
  • Clear CV showing relevant experience and education.
