We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work in a range of welcoming primary and secondary schools across the Richmond area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in education or continue developing a rewarding career supporting students in the classroom.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Support students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities.
  • Help pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their educational goals.
  • Provide additional support to students with varying learning abilities and needs.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and parents to support student progress.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential).
  • Are patient, caring and passionate about education.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Can build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Are adaptable, reliable and proactive.
  • Hold a DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
