You’ll be stepping into a supportive environment where your skills, ideas and experience will be valued. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with pupils, leading small-group activities and supporting teaching and learning across the classroom.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting pupils with their learning in the classroom
- Delivering planned lessons and activities to individuals, small groups and whole classes
- Providing classroom cover when required
- Leading targeted interventions and helping pupils make progress
- Working closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging learning activities
- Adapting learning to meet a range of needs and abilities
- Supporting positive behaviour and creating clear, consistent routines
- Building strong relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Previous experience working as an HLTA or in a higher-level classroom support role
- A recognised HLTA qualification, or relevant experience supporting teaching and learning
- Confidence delivering lessons and leading learning independently
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A calm, adaptable and positive approach
- The ability to engage, encourage and build confidence in pupils
- A commitment to helping every child reach their potential
Experience supporting pupils with SEND would be an advantage, but your ability to build positive relationships and adapt your approach to individual needs is just as important.
