An Ofsted-rated Outstanding mainstream primary school in Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Reception Class Teacher to join their Early Years team from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity within a highly supportive and well-resourced setting that places a strong emphasis on early years development and high-quality teaching and learning.
The Role
- Lead a Reception class, delivering engaging and creative lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality learning experiences tailored to meet the needs of all pupils.
- Support children’s development across all areas of learning, including communication, personal, social and emotional development, literacy, and numeracy.
- Create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and independence.
- Assess, track, and report on pupil progress, maintaining accurate records in line with school expectations.
- Work closely with support staff, parents, and the wider school team to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
The Ideal Candidate
- Will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching within Early Years or Key Stage 1 (Reception experience is highly desirable).
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Be creative, nurturing, and passionate about early childhood education.
- Have excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Be committed to maintaining the high standards expected within an Outstanding school.
- Work effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team.
